Sew,Print and Up-Cycle
Sew,Print and Up-Cycle
Description of Workshop
Join us for an exciting journey into the art of Block Printing at our upcoming Up-cycling series event. Get a chance to repair/up-cycle old garments or create new pieces such as coasters, drawstring bags, or patchwork products. All with professional guidance to support you one step at a time. You will get access to traditional Block Printing patterns to elevate your wardrobe. Each pattern has deep-rooted cultural significance that you will learn all about from the experience.
Instructor Spotlight:
Meet Aaiman and Sidra, the visionary founders of Sukoon Spaces! Driven by a shared love for the rich art forms of their South-Asian heritage, Aaiman and Sidra recognized a profound connection and curiosity that lacked the resources for deeper exploration. As diaspora members, this sparked meaningful conversations between them, ultimately leading to the creation of Sukoon Spaces.
Their passion for creativity and discovery inspired them to build a community where everyone can access third spaces to create, connect, and explore. Sukoon Spaces welcomes all, encouraging a journey of discovery fuelled by genuine curiosity rather than the need for prior skill or talent.
